House Democrats call for special counsel to probe Trump’s alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein

Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee called on Oct. 26, 2026, for a special counsel to investigate President Trump’s alleged ties to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, The Hill reported.

The Hill said the call appears in a report released Oct. 26, 2026, in which Democrats cited allegations from multiple women linking Trump to Epstein’s crimes; the report, according to The Hill, referenced 11 women who have made such ties.

The request is a call for an independent investigation and does not indicate that a special counsel has been appointed or that the committee has opened a formal inquiry, The Hill reported.
