House Lawmakers Question Secretary Lutnick Over Ties to Jeffrey Epstein

House lawmakers questioned Secretary Howard Lutnick about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the lawmakers said.

Lutnick told reporters last year that he cut ties with Epstein, his former neighbor, in 2005, Lutnick said.

But the Epstein files indicate the two kept in contact, including a 2012 lunch on Epstein’s private island, the files show.

Lawmakers pressed Lutnick about the apparent discrepancy, the lawmakers said.
