“What I’ve found, that Greenland was not on a map, until Donald Trump put it on a map,” Landry said, according to reports. The comments come as Trump previously expressed interest in purchasing Greenland, an autonomous Danish territory.
Greenland has been a point of diplomatic discussion, but officials in Denmark and Greenland have emphasized that the island is not for sale. Trump’s remarks about Greenland have drawn both attention and criticism from various political figures.
