Mark Carney laughed off a teleprompter problem Wednesday and referenced criticism from President Donald Trump over a similar incident last year, he said at a Greater Vancouver Board of Trade event.
While delivering his speech, Carney noted an issue with the teleprompter and responded with a laugh. “Happens, it happens,” he said.
The remark recalled a teleprompter incident at the United Nations last year that drew criticism from President Trump, according to Carney’s comments at the event.
Carney was speaking to members of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade on Wednesday when the exchange occurred, his remarks show.
