OutKick says LSU women’s basketball delivered largest D-I blowout; Hooters returning to NASCAR at Homestead
OutKick, in a column published by Fox News on Nov. 6, 2026, reported that LSU’s women’s basketball team routed Texas Southern in what the outlet called the largest blowout in Division I history against another D-I opponent.
The column said LSU, ranked No. 9, outscored Texas Southern 40-0 in the second quarter and went on a 106-9 run over the final three quarters. OutKick also noted Texas Southern entered the game 0-1 after a 40-point loss to Tulane and reported LSU’s NIL valuation at about $6 million this season, listing that as the second-highest in women’s hoops; it said a Texas Southern NIL valuation was not readily available.
OutKick also reported that Hooters restaurants will return to NASCAR for this weekend’s finale in Homestead after being absent from the series last season, saying the brand had been evicted from the sport last year and is now back for the Homestead event.
