Poll: Cooper leads Whatley by 11 points in North Carolina Senate race

Democrat Roy Cooper has an 11-point lead over Republican Michael Whatley in the North Carolina Senate race, a new poll shows.

The Carolina Journal/Harper Polling survey, released last week, found Cooper leading by 11 points, the poll said.

The survey of 600 likely voters found nearly half said they would either “definitely” or “probably” back Cooper, according to the poll.
