Prediction market users wager more than $197 million on midterms, NBC says

Users have wagered more than $197 million on midterm election results, NBC News reported.

The outlet analyzed 1,408 open markets on the prediction market platforms Kalshi and Polymarket for a report published Friday, NBC News said.

NBC News noted that both Kalshi and Polymarket allow users to bet on a range of topics, including sports, global events and political elections.

The total represents the amount NBC found tied to midterm election outcomes in its analysis, the report said.
