President Donald Trump said Saturday he might pull even more U.S. military troops out of Germany, one day after he ordered the Pentagon to withdraw approximately 5,000 service members from the country.
“We are going to cut way down, and we’re cutting a lot further than 5,000,” Trump told reporters.
The statement followed Trump’s directive to the Pentagon the previous day to reduce the U.S. military presence in Germany by about 5,000 service members. Trump spoke about the potential for additional reductions while taking questions from reporters.
