The San Antonio Spurs beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-82 on Sunday night to even the Western Conference finals at 2-2, according to the box score.
Victor Wembanyama led San Antonio with 33 points on 11-of-22 shooting, including three 3-pointers. He also had eight rebounds, five assists and three blocks, according to the box score.
The Thunder struggled from long range, making 6 of 33 3-pointers (18%) and finishing 33% from the field, according to game statistics. The Spurs were 9 of 33 from distance (27%) but attempted 32 free throws to Oklahoma City’s 18.
San Antonio built a nine-point lead after the first quarter and extended it to double digits by halftime, according to the box score. The Spurs scored 25 points off the Thunder’s 20 turnovers, a key factor in the victory.
Stephon Castle scored 13 points, Devin Vassell had 13 and De’Aaron Fox finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs, according to the box score. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with six of 15 shooting, made all seven of his free throws and added seven assists and four turnovers, according to the box score. The series resumes Tuesday night at Paycor Center in Oklahoma City.
