Thunder beat Spurs 122-113 to even Western Conference Finals at 1-1

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 30 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 122-113 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals on Wednesday night. The win evened the series at one game each, with the next matchup scheduled for Friday in San Antonio.

The game was pivotal for both teams. The Spurs, led by Victor Wembanyama, looked to take a commanding 2-0 series lead. Wembanyama delivered another impressive performance, finishing with 21 points, 17 rebounds, four blocks, and six assists. He highlighted his game with a putback dunk and a poster slam over Isiah Hartenstein.

Wembanyama’s efforts kept the Spurs competitive, but the Thunder’s star showed resilience. Gilgeous-Alexander made all six of his free throws and shot 12-for-24 overall. He also contributed four rebounds, two blocks, a steal, and nine assists. His late-game performance helped secure the victory for Oklahoma City.

The series now shifts to San Antonio for Game 3, where control of the Western Conference Finals will be decided. Both teams are eager to gain the upper hand in the best-of-seven series.

Wembanyama’s standout performances continue to draw attention, but Gilgeous-Alexander’s leadership proved decisive in this game. The matchup between the two stars is set to continue Friday night at the Frost Bank Center.
