Last Chance for Love Play Set Nov. 7 in Bolivar

The Kimbrough Theatre Group will stage Last Chance for Love on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Bolivar Central High School Auditorium. The family-friendly production has two shows, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. It offers an afternoon or evening out for people in Middleton and across Hardeman County, a short drive from Walnut and northern Tippah County.

The show mixes music, dance and comedy. It follows three couples as they work through the ups and downs of their relationships and try to figure out what real love looks like. The group’s tagline for the show is “Sometimes love gives you one last shot.”

Organizers describe the show as family-friendly, so it is billed as an outing parents, grandparents and older children can enjoy together. The story of three couples at different points in their relationships, told through song, dance and humor, is meant to bring both laughs and a message about commitment.

Planning a Trip From Middleton or Tippah County

Bolivar Central High School is on Harris Street in Bolivar, the Hardeman County seat. Because the advance price is lower, calling one of the contacts ahead of time is the best way to secure seats for a group. Church groups, families and friends planning to go together may want to confirm availability for the show time they want, since both performances are on the same Saturday.

A Busy Season for Local Arts

The production comes during an active fall for the arts in Hardeman County. The Hardeman County Arts Council is finishing repairs on its building, and community groups across the county have held fall events and performances. Bolivar is a short drive north of Walnut by way of Middleton, so it is an easy trip for theater fans on the Mississippi side of the line.
