What the Jr. Beta Club Does

Junior Beta is the middle-grades branch of the National Beta Club, a student organization that recognizes academic achievement and good character while encouraging leadership and community service. Chapters typically organize service projects at school and in the community, and many take part in state and national Beta conventions, where students compete in academic, arts and leadership events.

Officers usually help plan meetings, lead service projects and keep members involved through the year. The club’s national motto, “Let us lead by serving others,” fits the theme the Ripley chapter highlighted in its announcement.

A Busy Fall for Ripley Students

Ripley Middle School is part of the South Tippah School District. The officer team now takes the lead for the rest of the school year as the club plans its activities.

Families who want to learn more about the Jr. Beta Club, including membership requirements and upcoming service projects, can contact Ripley Middle School or follow the school’s Facebook page for updates.
