North Mississippi softball coach/teacher arrested for touching a child for lustful purposes

A Union County teacher and softball coach has been arrested on three counts of touching a child for lustful purposes, according to authorities in Union County.

Marty Alan Cook is accused of touching a student on the leg and thigh, and another student on the breast. Cook was the girls softball coach at Myrtle Attendance Center, where the alleged incidents happened.

The students notified their parents, who in turn notified the school. The school then went to the police with the inormation.

Cook, 50, was taken in and released on bond today.
