Ripley claims first ever volleyball Tippah County Tournament title in sweeping fashion

The Ripley Tigers are the 2019 Tippah County Champions after winning the first ever Tippah County Tournament.

With four schools now competing in volleyball in Ripley, Walnut, Pine Grove and Falkner a tournament was possible for the first time and Ripley was crowned the champion on Saturday.

Ripley defeated Falkner, Walnut and Pine Grove each by scores of 2-0 to claim the title. Walnut went 2-1 on the day. Pine Grove was 1-2 while Falkner was 0-3.

It is both Falkner and Pine Grove’s first year to have a program.
