Ripley senior Dasha Rowland ran a personal-best 26 minutes, 54.80 seconds at Saturday’s Saltillo Cross Country Invitational, leading the Tigers’ girls in the Class 1A–4A 5-kilometer race. Blue Mountain Christian’s soccer teams each earned a 1–1 draw, while newly published coverage also reported a Topper volleyball victory.

Rowland leads Ripley at Saltillo

Rowland placed 34th among 102 finishers. Kailyn Shead followed in 58th at 30:05.80, and Ripley finished 11th in the girls team standings with 256 points. Freshman Braylyn Derrick led the Tigers’ boys in 87th place at 25:37.90; Ripley had three boys finish and did not receive a team score.

Late goals secure two soccer draws

Daniela Nieto scored in the 77th minute as BMCU’s women tied Wesleyan College 1–1 on Senior Day at The Summit. The Toppers finished with a 28–16 advantage in shots and next face UT-Southern in Pulaski, Tennessee, on Saturday. Read the women’s soccer report.

In Pineville, Louisiana, Davi Vieira headed in a free kick from Rainato at 85:37 to give the BMCU men a 1–1 draw with Louisiana Christian. Luan Nascimento made six saves, and the Toppers moved to 3–1–3. They host Central Baptist College on Tuesday at The Summit. Read the men’s soccer report.

Volleyball rallies past Faulkner

BMCU recovered from an opening-set loss to win the next three sets against Faulkner University at home, according to a report published Saturday. The report did not include set scores or individual statistics. Read the volleyball report.
