Phi Theta Kappa announced its 2026-27 officer team for Northeast and said invitations to join the honor society have been sent to students.

Northeast Mississippi Community College said 2026 logistics graduate Nyesha Davis has accepted a position as an international shipping leader with Waldom Electronics, a master distributor of electronics and solar components.

President Ford encouraged students to get involved, build relationships and find balance for the fall semester during an episode of the TigerTalk podcast, which also included updates on athletics, academics and workforce development.

Program organizers said they celebrated machinist program graduates and praised contributors Tyler Whitehead and Stevie Lovelace for their support in preparing Northeast students for high-demand careers.

The college said it celebrated its student-athletes and offered a first look at the Showband from Tigerland. Photos are online and Corinth Coca-Cola Bottling Group donated free drinks, the college said.

Northeast will hold a Meet the Tigers event at Tiger Stadium at 5:30 p.m., where fans can meet athletes, hear the Showband from Tigerland and watch a football scrimmage, organizers said.

Northeast Mississippi Community College says it has posted a collection of campus photos on Flickr, including images from events and everyday campus life, available for viewing and download.

The Corinth Elks Lodge contributed $4,100 to the NEMCC FFA Alumni during the third annual Bobby Wayne Memorial Dart Tournament, honoring the late land-loving enthusiast.

Northeast urged people who paused degrees, careers or other goals that they can redefine what comes next and directed them to nemcc.edu for information, the college said.
