Bank customers in Tippah County were warned of a scam involving their debit cards, according to a post on the Peoples Bank website.
The scam involves customers being alerted their account was frozen and to call a 1-800 number.
The bank was made aware of this situation and issued a warning to their customers.
From the Peoples Bank:
We have been alerted to fake phone calls and texts to our customers stating their debit card is blocked and to call an 800 number. If you receive one of these do not respond. If you have questions about your card or account please give us a call.
