Senate sending rural broadband bill to governor allowing expansion of high speed internet

The Senate unanimously passed HB366 allowing Mississippi electric co-ops to offer high speed internet services to their customers.

According to Public Service commissioner Brandon Presley:

SENATE PASSES INTERNET BILL UNANIMOUSLY! The State Senate just passed HB366 to allow electric cooperatives to provide internet service. The bill now goes to Gov. Bryant where he is expected to sign it quickly. The future of Rural Mississippi just got a lot brighter!

Once the governor signs on, all Electric co-ops in Mississippi will be able to offer high speed internet to their customers
