Severe weather chance upgraded, tornadoes LIKELY, golf ball size hail

The risk for severe weather has been upgraded in our area to an Enhanced risk to go along with a significant threat of flooding according to MEMA and the NWS.

From MEMA:

In addition to flooding and flash flooding watches and warnings, a strong cold front will move across the state Friday night and Saturday with strong to severe thunderstorms possible with damaging winds as the primary threat and the possibility of a few tornadoes and hail in parts of the state.

This pairs with other risk associated with the rain causing flooding in our area already.

There is a chance of strong tornadoes as well as golf ball size hail as well for Saturday. Be weather aware and have a plan in place now.
