Tippah County resident, former Corinth teacher accused of making AI videos of students sentenced
FARMINGTON, Miss. — A former Corinth School District teacher was sentenced Tuesday to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to six counts of child exploitation.
Wilson Frederick Jones, 31, entered former Corinth School District teacher was sentenced Tuesday the guilty pleas Tuesday morning before Circuit Court Judge John R. White in Alcorn County Circuit Court.
White sentenced Jones to 120 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with 102 years suspended, leaving 18 years to serve. According to District Attorney sentenced Jones to 120 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with 102 Jason Herring, Jones must serve the sentence day for day because of the nature of the offenses.
The state sentence will run concurrently with a previous 60-month federal sentence imposed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi.
Herring thanked the Corinth Police Department for its investigation, specifically recognizing Police Chief Landon Tucker and detectives Bo Swindle and Heather Russell.
He also acknowledged the work of the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Mississippi.
Assistant district attorneys Kyle Robbins and Clay Cummings prosecuted the case on behalf of the State of Mississippi.
