Ripley Golf Wins 2026 MHSAA Class 4A State Title

The Ripley High School boys golf team is the 2026 MHSAA Class 4A state champion. The Ripley golf state title returns the Tigers to the top of Mississippi’s 4A golf ranks one year after New Albany claimed the crown. Ripley Main Street announced the news on Facebook and congratulated the team on the win.

Two Tigers also stood out individually. Ripley Main Street said Parker Mcalister and Baker Behm both finished in the top three in the state.

Ripley Golf State Title Caps a Big Fall

“What a great day to be a Ripley Tiger!” the Main Street organization wrote, adding that the community is proud of how the players represent Ripley. The post was tagged #RipleyTigers, #StateChampions, #RipleyProud and #RipleyMS.

The Mississippi High School Activities Association plays its golf championships in the fall. The MHSAA’s 2026 host-site list named Dancing Rabbit Golf Club in Choctaw for the Class 4A boys tournament, with Choctaw Central as host. Team scores and the full individual leaderboard had not been posted on the MHSAA website when this story was published. Tippah News will add them when they are available.

A Program With a Championship Habit

The title is the latest in a strong run for Ripley golf. Resolutions passed by the Mississippi House of Representatives recognized the Tigers as the 2023 Class 4A state champions, the first year the MHSAA moved golf from spring to fall. A later resolution honored the 2024 team, which won its title with a 612 team score and a margin of 55 strokes over the runner-up.

New Albany won the Class 4A championship in 2025. The 2026 win puts the trophy back in Ripley.

Ripley Main Street, the nonprofit that works to revitalize the city’s historic downtown, often uses its Facebook page to celebrate local students, and this post put the golf team front and center. The championship adds to a fall of postseason golf for Tippah County, after Falkner’s golfers also qualified for state in their classification.
