Forecasters say rain chances will increase tomorrow, but an abundance of low-level dry air could limit precipitation. Light showers are more likely overnight before a dry, cool weekend.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation is seeking proposals to relocate and preserve the State Highway 42 Bridge No. 76.2 at Bogue Homa Creek. Formal proposals are due May 29, 2026.

The Tupelo Police Department said it has been re-accredited by the Mississippi Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission through the state Department of Public Safety. The department said the accreditation affirms compliance with statewide standards and has been maintained for more than a decade.
