Applications remain open for residents affected by Tropical Storm Arthur and May storms
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said applications remain open for residents affected by Tropical Storm Arthur (DR-4930) and the May 6-7 storms (DR-4922), and those with damage to homes or property may qualify for federal assistance.
FEMA said residents can apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 800-621-FEMA (3362) or through the free FEMA app.
MSEMA said basic eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship or qualified status; identity verification, such as a Social Security number or other accepted documents; proof of home ownership or occupancy; and unmet needs not covered by insurance.
MSEMA urged affected residents not to wait and said more information on these and other federal disaster declarations is available on its website at https://www.msema.org/get-assistance/disaster-resources/active-disasters.
