Tupelo man arrested on aggravated domestic violence warrant; bond set at $35,000

Lamarrion Randle, 22, was arrested Aug. 23 on a felony warrant accusing him of aggravated domestic violence, Tupelo police said. Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Jay Weir set bond at $35,000 on Aug. 24, court officials said.

Police said officers responded April 17 to the 2900 block of South Green Street after a report of a domestic disturbance. The victim told officers an ex-boyfriend entered the residence, assaulted and choked them, and damaged property before leaving, the Tupelo Police Department said.

Officers observed visible injuries they said were consistent with the reported assault. After an investigation, the department identified Randle as the suspect on May 14 and obtained a felony warrant charging aggravated domestic violence, police said.

Randle, identified by police as a 22-year-old from Prairie, was located and arrested Aug. 23 on the warrant, the department said. The case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, authorities added.
