Drive Smart MS urges drivers to wait to eat on National Fried Chicken Day

A Mississippi road-safety campaign urged drivers to avoid eating while behind the wheel on National Fried Chicken Day, a social media post by Drive Smart MS said.

The post told motorists to “get home in one piece before attacking your eight-piece” and said “distractions are definitely not in the secret recipe for safety,” the post said.

The social media message included the slogans “Drive first, drumsticks later” and the hashtags #NationalFriedChickenDay, #SouthernFood, #DriveSmartMS and #JustDrive, according to the post.

The post framed the holiday reminder as a safety message for motorists, urging drivers to prioritize driving before eating, Drive Smart MS said.
