Fog Possible Overnight Across Mid-South; Visibility Could Drop to 1 Mile in East Arkansas
Meteorologists said recent rainfall combined with light to nearly calm winds and partial clearing may produce fog overnight across portions of the Mid-South.
Forecasters gave a low to medium chance that visibilities could fall to 1 mile or less, mainly in east Arkansas, meteorologists said.
The conditions creating the risk are recent precipitation followed by reduced wind and partial clearing, which can allow moisture to concentrate near the surface, meteorologists said.
Officials urged residents and drivers in the affected areas to be aware of changing visibility conditions overnight, meteorologists said.
