Gov. Tate Reeves, first lady host Cadet Class 70 ahead of graduation

Gov. Tate Reeves and first lady Elee Reeves hosted Cadet Class 70 as the class prepares for graduation, a news release said. Fifty-four cadets remain in the class and are preparing to serve the people of Mississippi, the release said.

The release praised the cadets’ dedication, discipline and commitment to public safety. It said the governor and first lady welcomed the cadets as they take the next step in their careers.

The release also thanked TAC officers, saying they have spent countless hours training and pushing the cadets. It said the officers’ leadership and commitment are helping shape the next generation of law enforcement.

Graduation is expected soon, the release said, and the cadets are completing final preparations for entry into public safety roles across the state.
