NEMCC said limited spots remain in its MI-BEST program, which helps eligible students earn a High School Equivalency while enrolling in a career training pathway. The college said eligible participants may also receive assistance with tuition, books, supplies and other supportive services.
According to NEMCC, participants may qualify if they are single parents, custodial or noncustodial; need to earn a High School Equivalency (HSE); or hold a Bronze-level WorkKeys certificate or higher.
NEMCC said available career pathways include Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Industrial Maintenance, Medical Administrative Medical Assistant (CMAA), Welding and Phlebotomy.
