MDOT highlights Ross Baker for outreach across nine southern Mississippi counties

The Mississippi Department of Transportation’s Southern District highlighted Ross Baker as its “Worker Wednesday,” saying he has become a go-to person for the agency.

MDOT said Baker is assistant to Southern District Transportation Commissioner Charles Busby and serves as a key connection between the department and communities in Forrest, George, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Perry, Stone and Wayne counties.

Over the past two and a half years, MDOT said, Baker has become a trusted resource through teamwork, problem-solving and a can-do attitude. The department noted his willingness to step in where needed and to appear in agency social media videos.

MDOT said Baker also serves on the Southeast Mississippi board for Court Appointed Special Advocates, CASA of South Mississippi. The department thanked him for representing MDOT and for his work with the community organization.
