Marginal severe-storm risk expanded across Mid-South, forecasters say

Forecasters said the marginal risk for severe storms was expanded to include most of the Mid-South today.

They said the primary threat is damaging winds.

Forecasters also warned of a secondary threat for localized flash flooding.

They said storm coverage and intensity will likely peak in the late afternoon and early evening.
