A public outreach campaign introduced a character called “Highway Mike” to raise awareness of the I-20/I-55 Freight Corridors Improvement Project, known as the Big Fix, a social media post said.
The post said Highway Mike has been sharing updates on major projects in central Mississippi for several years. It described the new effort as his largest mission yet.
The post encouraged readers to visit a link for more information about the Big Fix, which organizers are promoting through the campaign, the post said.
The promotional post included hashtags such as #TheBigFixMS, #HighwayMike, #I20 and #I55, the post said.
