Cold front cools Mid‑South; heat advisory issued for southern areas

The National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee, said a cold front moving through the region will make today much cooler compared with yesterday.

The office said the front is expected to stall south of the Tennessee‑Mississippi state line, keeping heat indices at 105 degrees or higher in southern portions of the Mid‑South.

The National Weather Service in Memphis issued a Heat Advisory for those areas from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, the office said.
