MDOT posts update on Northeast Mississippi road projects

The Mississippi Department of Transportation posted an update saying it is carrying out multi-county work on State Route 15 and safety improvements, along with mill-and-overlay paving on highways across the district, MDOT said.

The post identified MDOT’s District 1 as reporting the developments but also included a note saying the update covers District 3, listing Alcorn, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Clay, Itawamba, Lee, Lowndes, Monroe, Oktibbeha, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo, Union, Webster and Winston counties, MDOT said.

MDOT said the project update release contains details on the roadwork and aims to give residents the information they have been seeking rather than leaving room for speculation, the agency said.

The department directed readers to a link for full project details and used social media tags including #MShwys, #ProjectUpdate and #WorkingForYou, MDOT said.
