The Mississippi Department of Transportation released a progress report on projects in western Mississippi’s District 3, the agency said.
“As we roll through maintenance and construction season, as Commissioner, I am proud to announce the completion of many projects, along with tremendous progress being made on others,” Mississippi Transportation Commission Chairman Willie Simmons said in the MDOT press release. “The progress being shown throughout the western part of the state is great to see as it shows your tax dollars being put to good use by improving our infrastructure, safety and efficiency.”
MDOT said the update covers projects in District 3, which includes Bolivar, Claiborne, Copiah, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Jefferson, Sharkey, Sunflower, Warren, Washington and Yazoo counties.
MDOT’s social media post accompanying the release said more details are available via a link in the post’s comments, the agency said.
