MDOT says progress under way on central Mississippi road projects
The Mississippi Department of Transportation said significant progress is being made on maintenance and construction projects in its District 5 in central Mississippi.
“We are well into maintenance and construction season here in central Mississippi, and I am pleased to report that significant progress is being made throughout the district,” Commissioner Willie Simmons, chairman of the Mississippi Transportation Commission, said in the department’s social post.
The department said the update covers projects only in District 5, which spans Hinds, Kemper, Lauderdale, Leake, Madison, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee, Rankin and Scott counties.
