MDOT District 6 reports summer progress on Gulf Coast road projects

The Mississippi Department of Transportation said District 6 crews have made progress this summer on major work on I-10, U.S. 49 and State Route 57, along with completed paving projects and nearly finished bridges across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

MDOT said the update highlights ongoing construction and maintenance work in southeast Mississippi and that crews are steadily checking off milestones across the region.

MDOT said District 6 spans Clarke, Forrest, George, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Jasper, Jones, Lamar, Pearl River, Perry, Stone and Wayne counties, and the latest release covers only projects in those counties.

MDOT said the agency posted a full press release with further details and a link to the project update.
