MDOT reports bridge work on I-20, State Route 16/149 in western Mississippi

The Mississippi Department of Transportation said in a District 3 release that work is underway on a series of bridge projects in western Mississippi. The agency said crews are replacing six bridges along I-20 at the Hinds-Warren County line and are nearing completion of three bridges on State Route 16/149 over the Yazoo River Floodway Channels.

The release said the update covers projects only in MDOT’s District 3. The district spans Bolivar, Claiborne, Copiah, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Jefferson, Sharkey, Sunflower, Warren, Washington and Yazoo counties.
