The Mississippi Department of Transportation said a new traffic signal at the intersection of U.S. 49 and State Route 149 in Simpson County is now fully operational.
MDOT said the work is part of a project aimed at making safety improvements at the intersections of U.S. 49 and State Route 149 and U.S. 49 and Siloam Road in Simpson County.
The agency said the scope of work includes widening lanes, improving traffic flow and adding traffic signals.
MDOT provided the information in a news release on its website.
