Mississippi Department of Public Safety Celebrates Independence Day

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety is urging residents to celebrate the Fourth of July safely as the United States marks its 250th birthday.

In a statement, the department recognized the courage, sacrifice, and freedoms that have shaped the nation over the past two and a half centuries.

Officials extended holiday wishes for a safe and happy Independence Day to all residents.
