The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said on its social media page that it gathered for a Fallen Officer Memorial Ceremony.
The department called the event “a solemn time of remembrance, honor, and gratitude for the heroes who gave their all in service to others,” the post said.
The post said the agency will “never forget the sacrifices made by these brave men and women, nor the families who continue to carry their legacy forward with incredible strength and grace.”
The department concluded the post with the hashtags #Mississippi, #lawenforcement and #memorial.
