Mississippi Department of Public Safety meets with Pascagoula High football team on leadership

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said two of its officers met with the Pascagoula High School football team to discuss leadership, integrity and discipline.

In a social media post, the department identified the officers as Captain Rogers and Trooper First Class Orozco of Troop K. The post said the officers had the opportunity to meet and talk with the team.

The department said the players were reminded that while football may not always be part of their lives, the lessons learned through sports — including commitment, perseverance and character — can provide a strong foundation for the future.

The department encouraged the players to continue working hard and said it hopes to see some of them in a future cadet class, according to the post.
