Mississippi DOT celebrates summer interns at PAVE program

The Mississippi Department of Transportation said it marked National Intern Day by celebrating a group of summer interns who worked across the agency.

MDOT said the interns came from across the state and worked in areas including engineering, planning and information technology.

The agency said it brought the interns together in Jackson for two days through its Pursue Advance Value Excel, or PAVE, program. MDOT said agency leaders joined the sessions for connection, learning and collaboration.

MDOT thanked the interns for their contributions and said the experience was rewarding for staff and interns alike. The agency said it looks forward to watching the interns’ future careers.
