Mississippi DOT closes sections of State Routes 26 and 512 after flooding
The Mississippi Department of Transportation said State Route 26 and State Route 512 are closed due to flooding impacts and urged motorists to use alternate routes.
MDOT said both directions of State Route 26 between Fairley O’Neal Road/Vardaman Graves Road and Ely Cooper Road in George County have been closed since 10 p.m. Thursday, June 18, and will remain closed until repairs are complete. MDOT provided a map at https://www.mdottraffic.com/?a=562202.
MDOT said both directions of State Route 512 between County Road 130 and County Road 138 in Clarke County have been closed since 6:30 a.m. Sunday, June 21, and will remain so until flooding subsides. A map is available at https://www.mdottraffic.com/?a=562242.
MDOT posted the advisory with links to maps and additional information at https://bit.ly/4uSpMHZ and advised drivers to seek alternate routes while the closures remain in effect.
