Tupelo police mark 25th anniversary of Sept. 11 attacks

On Friday, the Tupelo Police Department said it remembered the nearly 3,000 people killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

The department said it honored the first responders who answered the call that day and the men and women of the military who served in the decades that followed.

It said it especially remembered those who made the ultimate sacrifice and added, “Twenty-five years later, we remember them all. We will never forget.”
