Mississippi man arrested for drug trafficking and firearm possession

Authorities in Booneville, Mississippi, arrested Zane Shaundra Miller on charges of aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine and possessing a firearm as a felon.

The North Mississippi Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on February 2 at a residence on Old Marietta Road following multiple complaints of illegal drug activity. During the search, agents seized more than three-quarters of a pound of methamphetamine, over an ounce of fentanyl, three firearms, and $12,500 in cash, according to police.

Miller, 31, was taken into custody at the scene. He faces charges of aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Miller already had pending narcotics charges and was on Mississippi state probation at the time of his arrest. He was held without bond by Booneville Municipal Court Judge Greg Meyer.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities said additional charges could be forthcoming.
