From Aug. 19 to Sept. 7, local law enforcement agencies are partnering with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to remind riders not to drink and ride. The campaign aims to prevent tragedies around the Labor Day holiday weekend.
Authorities said there will be increased law enforcement presence during this period, especially leading up to the holiday. They urge motorcyclists to ride sober and avoid a DUI, emphasizing safety and responsibility.
Officials concluded with a reminder: Ride sober or get pulled over. They encourage all riders to prioritize safety and make smart choices on the road.
