An areawide Heat Advisory will go into effect at 11 a.m. tomorrow and remain in place through 8 p.m. Sunday, the National Weather Service in Memphis said.
The office warned the heat will continue to intensify for the rest of the week, saying the lack of significant cooling will result in cumulative heat stress.
“The lack of significant cooling will result in cumulative heat stress, increasing the risk for vulnerable populations,” the National Weather Service in Memphis said in a social media post.
The post included the hashtags #arwx, #mowx, #mswx and #tnwx, the office said.
