Officials said one lane in each direction of State Route 26 in George County reopened starting Aug. 3 between Fairley O’Neal Road/Vardaman Graves Road and Ely Cooper Road after a slide in the area.
Officials urged motorists to use extreme caution and obey the temporary traffic signals in place.
Officials warned the roadway may be closed again to allow contractors to complete repairs on the affected section.
