Storm Prediction Center issues slight risk for severe storms Tuesday in northeast Arkansas, Missouri Bootheel and far west Tennessee

The Storm Prediction Center issued a slight risk (2 of 5) for severe thunderstorms Tuesday across northeast Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel and far west Tennessee, the agency said.

A marginal risk (1 of 5) was in effect for areas east of that region, the SPC said.

The SPC said that if storms reach severe limits, large hail and damaging winds would be the primary threats.

The agency described the outlook as a medium-low confidence forecast and said the primary period of concern is Tuesday afternoon and evening.
