Storms threaten Mid-South Mother’s Day afternoon, forecasters say

Some scattered thunderstorms began developing across the Mid-South on Mother’s Day afternoon, forecasters said.

Forecasters said the storms could produce damaging winds and small hail through the rest of the afternoon and into the early evening.

They said they will continue to monitor the storms for hazardous conditions.

Otherwise, forecasters said, dry and spring-like conditions are expected Monday through the rest of the week.
